Marriage Proposals

"I think you need to have a lot of money." I sat squeezed in the back of an SUV between a married couple. The driver was having a conversation with my male friend about how to obtain another (white) wife, and my friend was suggesting ways I might consider the ... read more

I recommend that after you've tried fried goat, roasted goat, chopped goat, goat soup, and numerous other forms of goat, you try the camel. Head over to Golis Restaurant on the outskirts of New Hargeisa in northern Somalia. A dinner there, which will run you about $4 for meat, rice, and drink, is well worth the price. The camel meat is exceptionally delicious and I anticipate you'll find yourself wanting to go back weekly. Oh, and if you want to really fit in, ditch the silverware and dig right in with your fingers.
