I have seen too many weary travelers cut their hair just to avoid the hassle. But before you pick up the scissors, try a bottle of leave in hair conditioner. I know, we're not supposed to pack a lot of toiletries or care how we look when we travel, but I'm a firm believer in the little things. When all you can do is rinse your hair in the hostel sink (or ocean!), a dollop of this stuff will make your hair shiny and manageable--and smelling good. In a pinch it works great for shaving cream or lotion, too. Don't you want to look great in all those travel photographs?
